“ Have sat in here for drinks since I moved here a couple of years ago and it's such a lovely space. I got a voucher for a 1:1 barista experience for Christmas and I finally put it to use last week and oh my gosh it was amazing. James was super patient and thorough. I always learn best with understanding 'why' certain things work/happen and in other teaching environments this is often something I need to ask about, but James went into detail about each process and why individual decisions are made. Thank you so much for an incredible time, I'd definitely recommend it. I also got a printed certificate, a bronze bean badge, two hot chocolate pouches and the choice of three drinks vouchers or a bag of beans/ground coffee to take home. You can also take notes during the session to take away. Overall so so happy with the experience!! And it must be said that every drink I've had in the cafe has been amazing, lattes, cappuccinos and hot chocolates alike, with really lovely staff and a great atmosphere each time :) Can't wait to come in again!! ”
“ My first coffee shop review goes to The Press Room in Surbiton — amazing coffee, but the staff made it even better. I visited twice and loved it both times. I’ve never been served a cappuccino with little straws of chocolate before — it was unique and absolutely delicious. This is a perfect spot to grab a cup and enjoy some quality people-watching on vacation. My recommendation: sit outside, soak in the view, and savor the moment with your coffee. Cheers, BN ”
“ Our fave place to grab a coffee in Surbiton. Staff are always super lovely and DIVERSE. Great coffee and love their breakfast bagels. Music in the background. Cosy atmosphere. Some amazing art by local artists has been exhibited on their walls. Good luck to the lovely new member of staff who served us today - what a nice human! ”
“ The coffee is probably the best in Surbiton - it’s sweet and has an aromatic taste. If you include Kingston then it’s 2nd, but that’s understandable as Beanberry is clear - they roast their own coffee, so the quality will be higher. ”
“ I’ve been going to the Press Room for 10 years, their coffee is the best around and their staff are truly sweet. The original owner David created a real sense of community among their staff and customers in Surbiton. His kindness always extended to everyone, providing suspended coffees to those who needed them. Although the ownership has now changed, the staff maintain excellent standards and service. ”
“ Great place to work, even if it’s a little loud with the coffee machine, it adds to the atmosphere:) Best place to get a pot of tea done correctly ”
“ I have always wanted to try the Press Room for awhile. I came here for a cuppa and the cappuccino is great! It’s a shame they were about to close. So will definitely come back to try their food. The place looks cozy and has a great atmosphere. ”
“ Cute local coffee shop, the food was pretty good for the price & the coffee was satiable. Recommend the flat white, cappuccino was alright. ”
